Since 1999, I have worked in close collaboration with the Theatraki association. Every year, I have the privilege of guiding numerous school classes—from all educational levels—through theatre workshops and creative projects that culminate in the annual showcase “Il Teatro della Scuola.”

The initiative stems from a long-standing partnership between Theatraki, the Municipality of Bolzano, and the Italian-language School Board of the Autonomous Province of Bolzano. In 2017, new synergies were formed with the Teatro Stabile di Bolzano, enriching the program’s reach and artistic scope..

The story of Theatraki began in 1987, when the vision and sensitivity of a city councillor (Ingeborg Baur Polo) and a municipal officer (Patrizia Trincanato) helped establish Il Teatro della Scuola in Bolzano. From its bilingual roots, the initiative quickly blossomed—thanks to the dedication of countless supporters—well beyond expectations, eventually leading to the foundation of the Theatraki association.

Over the years, thousands of students have enchanted not only parents and families through internal performances, but also the wider public during the end-of-year theatre showcase held in Bolzano’s professional venues.

Since the 2016–17 school year, Theatraki has been working in close cooperation with the Teatro Stabile di Bolzano.
